The Kaohsiung International Food Show, the Kaohsiung International Hotel, Restaurant, Baking and Catering Show (Kaohsiung HORECA) and the Kaohsiung International Halal Expo (Kaohsiung HALAL) kicked off a four-day event at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center. The Kaohsiung trio shows, held as scheduled despite the pandemic, have not only presented the entire upstream and downstream of the food supply chain covering foods, manufacturing and peripheral equipment, but have also played an active role in developing markets covered by the government’s New Southbound Policy, the Middle East market and the halal market in southern Taiwan, serving as the food industry’s most important annual food sourcing platform in southern Taiwan.
